How to play the Dota 2 drinking game

Queueing up with the squad or watching the pros? Everyone draws Dota 2 house rules like "sip for first blood" or "3 sips for a Roshan kill", holds them, and cashes them in when they happen. Keep it open on your phone or a second monitor - no app, no sign-up.

  1. Add everyone playing, then hit Start round.
  2. On your turn, tap the card to flip it and read the rule.
  3. Add it to your hand (max 6), or skip it and take 2 sips.
  4. When one of your rules happens in the match, tap it to cash it in: take the drink on the card and bank the points.
  5. Shots and finish-your-drink cards are worth the most. Most points when you call it wins.

FAQ

Does it work while I'm playing, or just watching?
Both. Run it on your phone or a second monitor while you play, or put the stream on and play it as a watch party. Cash cards in between rounds so you're not tabbing out mid-fight.
Solo queue or with a full stack?
Either. Solo, it's you against your own stats. With a 5-stack or a group on Discord, everyone holds their own hand and the scoreboard settles who carried.
How does scoring work?
Every card has a drink and a point value. You only score when you cash a card in - which means taking that drink - so the bigger the risk, the bigger the payout.
Does it work for watching The International?
Yes. Put the stream on and play it as a watch party. Pro games have more teamfights and buybacks, so hands cash in fast.
